Coatesville Shooting Update

On August 01, 2017, at approximately 2200 hours, patrol officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Charles Street in the City of Coatesville for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, the Victim, Cornell Thompson B/N/M/22 was observed on the ground in the area of Plum Aly and Concord Street, suffering from gunshot wounds. First aid was administered by the responding patrol officers until the arrival of the ambulance. The Victim was transported to Brandywine Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the hospital physician at 2247 hours.

Assisting at the scene were the following agencies: Chester County Detectives, Pennsylvania State Police, West Caln, West Brandywine, East Brandywine, Parkesburg, South Coatesville, Valley, East Fallowfield, Caln and Coatesville Fire & Ambulance.
