PARADISE TRACTOR TRAILER CRASH : UPDATE

First responders were dispatched shortly after 3:AM (May 11, 2017)  to Lincoln Highway East near the area of Eshelman Run in Paradise Township, Lancaster County for a tractor trailer accident involving another vehicle. Route thirty was shut down shortly thereafter and remained closed for much of the morning. Lancaster County-Wide Communications confirmed to WLRI that there was one fatality and another person was injured and is being treated at Lancaster General Hospital.  LCWC also confirmed that there was a diesel spill at the scene and was unable to confirm if the spill was contained or if any diesel entered Eshelman Run. PA Route 741 was heavily traveled by early morning commuters and commercial traffic as it served as the official detour throughout much of Thursday morning. By 11:AM Lincoln Highway was very congested. Fire crews still on the scene and directing traffic. Detours in place and many questions as to what exactly happened here this morning.
