On February 6, 2017 NHPD filed the following charges against Natalie M Sands, age 30 of Ephrata:

Acquisition or Obtaining Possession of a Controlled Substance by Misrepresentation, Fraud, Forgery, Deception or Subterfuge.

Failure to Keep Records of Distribution of Controlled Substances.

Sands was employed as an LPN at Garden Spot Village, 433 S Kinzer Ave in EARL TWP.  While employed Sands took Oxycodone medication that was prescribed for patients and kept the medication for her own use.  Between November 13, 2016 and January 25, 2017 Sands took Oxycodone that was prescribed to four patients at GSV.  Sands also altered the records for dispensing the medication to the patients.

GSV officials discovered Sand’s actions and confronted her on January 25, 2017 at which time she admitted her actions.  GSV terminated Sands.

NHPD has an active arrest warrant for Sands for the above charges.

Sands is presumed innocent.
