Lititz, PA Weapons Violation Leads To Plea For Public Assistance

On Monday October 31st, 2016 at 818pm, Officers from the Lititz Borough Police Department responded to the area of North Lane and North Cedar Street for a Weapons offense that had just occurred.  Arriving Officers located two females in their thirties whom reported that they were just threatened by an unknown person who had exited a vehicle following a verbal encounter.  The females reported the person displayed a handgun and was yelling “come over here and get some.”

The females went on to explain that they were walking south on North Cedar Street and were within the crosswalk as they crossed North Lane continuing south.  They explained that a white in color SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Equinox, with dark tinted windows approached the intersection as it was traveling east on North Lane approaching North Cedar Street, and nearly struck them while they were in the crosswalk.  At that time one of the females shouted at the driver of the white suv.  The SUV then turned right on North Cedar St heading south.  As the two females walked away, the SUV parked on North Cedar St and the front seat passenger exited the vehicle with a black handgun while yelling at the females.  The females left the area and summoned Police.

The driver of the White SUV is described as a white female, approximately 20-30 years old.  The passenger(weapon) is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, with dreadlocks.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective Jevon Miller at (717)626-6393 or millerj@police.co.lancaster.pa.us
